Nothing says July 4th quite like sizzling burgers, fresh lemonade, and brilliant fireworks. The Butler County communities are hosting spectacular fireworks extravaganzas, festivals, and parades in 2023. Here is our guide to all things red, white, and blue!
TAPS, TASTES, AND TUNES: JUNE 30 – JULY 2, 2023
At the National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting
Taps, Tastes, and Tunes will be hosted at the National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting! Hours are: June 30 from 5pm-11pm, July 1 from 12pm-11pm, and July 2 from 12pm-10pm. There will be live music, activities, and food and drinks all weekend to celebrate! The main event - the fireworks show - will light up the sky on July 2 at 10pm!
OXFORD FREEDOM FESTIVAL PARADE: JULY 1, 2023
6:30pm Beginning at the corner of College and High Street
The parade will begin at the corner of College and High Street and progresses east on High Street to Poplar Street. The Oxford Community Band will begin performing at 5:45pm!
RED, WHITE, & KABOOM: JULY 3, 2023
Fireworks 10pm at Harbin Park
This beloved Independence Day celebration in Fairfield goes BIG! This year's fireworks will be higher, and easier to view throughout the city. The fireworks display will launch on Monday, July 3rd at 10pm. Before heading to Harbin Park for the fireworks, enjoy a Movies in the Park showing of "Captain America: The First Avenger" at Village Green Park at 6pm. There will be food trucks and fun!
MIDDLETOWN'S INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVAL: JULY 3, 2023
5pm – 11pm at Smith Park
Middletown's Independence Day Festival is back this year from 5pm – 11pm at Smith Park! Enjoy food, games, bicycle rodeo, softball, cornhole, crafters, music, and fireworks at the end of the night.
OXFORD FREEDOM FESTIVAL: JULY 3, 2023
5 – 10:30pm at The Oxford Community Park
Enjoy dazzling fireworks and games, inflatables, axe throwing, horse carriage rides and more fun activities! The event will also include food vendors, ice cream, and a new beer garden. Fireworks will start at 10pm.
HAMILTON 4TH OF JULY PARADE & FIREWORKS: JULY 4, 2023
Fireworks 10pm at Veterans Park
This Hamilton community tradition starts with a parade followed by patriotic music at the Butler County Courthouse, a free concert at RiversEdge, and fireworks at 10pm launched from Veterans Park.

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY PARADE: JULY 4, 2023
9am at Lakota East High School
Liberty Township's community organizations get decked out in 4th of July style for the annual parade. Festivities begin at 9am from Lakota East High School, will continue to Wyandot Lane, and makes its way back to the high school.
LIGHT UP THE SKY MONROE: JULY 4, 2023
5pm at Monroe Community Park
Light Up The Sky will celebrate Independence Day again this year! Tons of food booths, activities, crafts, and live music will be provided. Festivities begin at 5pm at the Monroe Community Park.
