A Lavender Farm Designed to Thrive
White Barn & Blooms was carefully planned before the first plants ever went into the ground. The farm partnered with Victor Gonzalez, who is widely recognized as one of the country's leading lavender experts. He researched Ohio's climate, test soil conditions, and select varieties that would flourish here for years to come.
Today, more than 20,000 lavender plants grow across the property, including several unique varieties:
- Grosso: known for its rich fragrance and exceptional oil production.
- Royal Velvet: admired for its deep purple color and beautiful dried bouquets.
- Melissa: featuring delicate pink-and-white blooms with a gentle fragrance often used in culinary products.

This local lavender farm was designed to be both a beautiful destination and a place to learn. If you visit during the inaugural In Full Bloom Lavender Festival (July 11 - 12, 2026), you'll have the opportunity to hear from Victor Gonzalez himself.
Known by many as the "Father of Lavender," Victor has spent decades studying lavender cultivation, researching oil quality, and helping growers around the world produce healthier, more productive plants. His experience spans research, farming, education, and sustainable growing practices, making him one of the most respected voices in the lavender industry. His passion is contagious, and you'll leave knowing more about lavender than you ever expected!
Why Lavender?
